Family Visit

Margee's brother and his wife had their first baby this fall. Margee and Kyra drove to Seattle for a super quick visit - Grammy and Grampy were there too!
Nothing better than reading or coloring with Grammy.

Margee with baby Lincoln - he was born with a full head of hair.

Grampy with his A Number 1 grandaughter.

Lincoln with his mom xuan.

Kyra and Aunt Becky.

Kyra loves her baby cousin. He's not so happy right now. Darn.

Kyra, Lincoln, Marty, Xuan.

I took Kyra for a quick hike before the long drive back to Spokane - she had fun collecting leaves.

Little Gymnist

Matthew participated in gymnastics at the Y from about 2-4 years old. And so is his sister Kyra. She's been practicing for about a year (with summers off) and loves it.

Look at that dismount!

Apples and fun

Every fall we visit Cole's Orchard on Greenbluff to stock up on yummy apples. Then we go to some of the harvest festivals for some fun, and yummy pumpkin donuts.

Preschool Field Trip

This fall, Kyra's preschool class went on their first field trip to Carver Farm's. The best part was they got to ride a real school bus!

Sarah and Anna Lucia.

Kyra and mom.

Grace, Riley, Kyra - it was really cold out.

Going on a corn maze. Kyra got to be the line leader!

Kyra's class with Ms. Jackie!

XC Man

Matthew loves to run. Thankfully, a non-profit puts on a huge XC program for all elementary school kiddos in SD81.

There are two regional meets. Then an all city meet. You must qualify to make the all city meet.

First regional meet pics:

Alex, Matthew and Sam.

Matt is sprinting at the end, currently in third place, then he passes this kiddo and gets second. See the video below for his awesome sprint to the finish. One mile in 7:35. Way to go.

Post race snack with Sam.

Second regional meet pics:

Third place, but cut 10 seconds off of his time, 7:25.

All city meet pics (coming soon.) It was a pouring very cold day. The photos didn't turn out well. Matt ran with the 75+ fastest second graders in town. They all did awesome. Matt came in 14th place. Way to go!

Annual pilgramige to the fair

We love fairs. Here's a few pics from the 2012 Interstate Fair.

Gramps & Margee

Margee went to Maryland to help Gramps around the house while he was recovering from back surgery. Here's a photo of the two at the Naval Academy. Also, here's a picture of their flooded dock, during a huge rain and wind storm.

Gramps is all better. And the storm went away and nothing floated off of the dock.
