Marmot March

The day before Bloomsday, there is a 1 mile race for kiddos in second grade and younger. Matt has run this the past 3 years. We think he ran the course in about 8 minutes, leaping over the traffic cones lining the course. do we have a future hurdler in the family? Here he is after the race and face painting. He's a cheetah, of course!

Bloomsday 2010

Margee ran, then met up with Curt and the kiddos to walk the course. Next year, Matthew would like to run/walk the race. That will be fun!

Bigger, bigger, bigger

Our little girl is getting bigger. Kyra just had her 15-month well child visit - here are the stats:

19#3oz, 29.75" long. So, she's petite. But, firecrackers come in small packages, because boy is she fiesty.

Dogs

They were wrestling around in the living room.

3 on 3 Hockey Tournament

Matthew's had his first experience in a hockey tourney and had a blast. There were two teams in his age group, and they both received trophies!

Tulip Time

Every year we get a photo of the kids in front of the tulips at our house. This year, the kids weren't too into doing photos. Oh well.

Longbeach Getaway

Since Margee was going back to work soon, and wouldn't have much vacation time, we decided to take a trip to the coast. We drove to Vancouver and stayed at Margee's cousins house for the night. Then when to OMSI in Portland, and drove to Longbeach. We hiked and played on the beach for a week, with a couple of road trips in between. We took a long drive down the Oregon Coast to Tillamook, to visit the factory (and other stuff like Fort Clatsop, etc.) We also visited other old forts in the region. Then, headed to Seattle for a Mariners game before returning to Spokane.

Kyra's first sorbet. She loved it!

The octopus tree in Oregon. It's a couple hundred years old.

Isn't this a cool picture. Matthew loves the ocean.

This is hard to push in the sand!!!

Curt and Matt gathered driftwood to build a fort.

Kyra found a cupboard just her size at the condo we rented.

Look at me! The kids having fun exploring at OMSI.
