Kids Concert at Riverfront Park

KPBX - our local public radio station hosts free kids concerts throughout the year. In the summer, the concerts are at the big park in downtown Spokane (the old Expo 1974 site). The concert was "Kid Stock" celebrating the 40th(??) anniversary of Wood Stock. Matthew had a great time running around and dancing - Kyra slept through most of the concert!

Margee and Matt chillin to the music.

Here comes Curt!

Mmmm.... carrots and hummus - Matt's favorite.

Hot day, cooling off in the fountain.

One of the bands - they did a good The Who cover.

Look at that sleepy girl!

Brothers and Sisters

Matthew loves his sister! That dirty face is from the 4th of July face painting - took a couple of days for it to wear/wash off.

4th of July Fun

Our neighborhood has a huge 4th of July block party - a parade, band, good food, face painting and lots of fun with friends and neighbors.

Karen, India and Kyra. Yes, they have on matching outfits. Of course it wasn't planned - but the parents do have good taste in clothes.

Jerry and Karen with Kyra.

The parade.

Matt as a cougar - will he be WSU bound???? Go Cougs!

A Girl and Her Dog

Kyra and Denali hanging out on the couch - Krya's not quite sure what Denali is all about but she loves pulling fist-fuls of fur, an easy task with the dog.

On 2 Wheels

By the time pre-school was out for summer Matthew had figured out how to ride his bike with no training wheels. Talk about a huge smile on his face when he figured it out. We had to show all of the neighbors!
