Darth Vadar Watch Out - Matthew Won Kenobi is Here!

Matt's 5th birthday party was a blast. He wanted a Star Wars party - so we made a Death Star Pinata, turned our backyard into the rebel base on the planet Hoth, played Star Wars music on the stereo and everyone got to choose which charachter they wanted, and wore that necklace. Funny thing, Matthew chose to be Yoda for his birthday. Yoda was Curt's nickname when he worked for the Forest Service.

Bike Races

Group Health sponsors a kids bike race series in September. Matt's participated the last two years, and loves it. Every kid gets a blue ribbon.

Labor Day Weekend in Seattle

Went to the Museum of Flight - one of Matt's favorite places, and a good place to go on a very rainy day.

A friend from Tasmania (Margee's been friends with her since preschool) was visiting family over the holiday weekend. We had a chance to visit her (a picnic at Crossroads Park), along with other friends, see Uncle Marty and see some of the big city sites.

We gave her some corn on the cobb - but the corn was already eaten by mom and dad. She was in heaven, nawing on the cobb for about 20 minutes.
